I earned my Bachelor
of Arts degree in
Political Science
from York University
in Toronto and
graduated law school
at Queen’s
University in
Kingston, Ontario. I
am currently
completing my Master
of Laws degree at Osgoode Hall Law
School specializing
in Criminal Law and
Procedure.
Following my call to
the bar in Ontario,
I was made a
partner at one of
Canada’s largest
criminal defence
firms before
starting my own
successful criminal law
practice.
My work has included
representing clients
at
bail hearings and
bail reviews, "judge
alone" trials, jury
trials and
appeals.
The range of

trafficking to
first degree murder and almost
every charge in
between. I
have successfully defended
alleged gang members charged in
Project
Pathfinder,
Project Flicker,
Project XXX,
Project Kryptic
and
Project Ink,
five of Canada's
largest Criminal
Organization
prosecutions and in
2004, I made
national headlines
with my advocacy in
the
French
Left-hand Turn
Case.
I have also been
featured in news
articles fighting
for basic human
rights for prison
inmates.

Extremely Serious
Criminal Matters are
defined as youth or
adult trials,
appeals or
extraditions of:
* All murder charges
* All dangerous
offender
applications
* All charges with a
mandatory minimum
penitentiary
sentence of 4 years
or more
* Charges contained
in Criminal Code
sections 83.2 to
83.22 related to
terrorism offences.
Although most of my
clients are in the
greater Toronto and
outlying areas, I
have conducted
trials and bail
hearings in all
corners of Ontario
including York
Region, Durham
Region, Peel Region, Halton Region, Barrie, Orillia,
Hamilton, Guelph,
Kitchener, Waterloo,
Kingston and
Orangeville among
others.
